As a Technical Writer, you will be vital in developing clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our APIs and other developer-related tools. Your primary responsibility will be to produce high-quality, user-centric documentation that empowers engineers to utilise our APIs effectively. This will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and client services, to gather relevant information and ensure the accuracy and currency of the documentation.

Duties

Maintain and enhance existing documentation, including guides, manuals, tutorials, and code samples.
Collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure content accuracy and completeness.
Enhance our documentation site to provide a world-class user experience, including rewriting existing documentation based on user feedback and reviews.
Refine team documentation processes and style guides.

Requirements

Essential

Proven experience in technical writing, with a preference for experience using a docs-as-code approach for software documentation.
Experience in API documentation using Swagger and OpenAPI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
Self-motivated with strong organisation and time management skills.

Desirable

Bachelor's degree in computer science, technical communication, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
